as far as i know, the Australian Spec 1MZ-FE's dont have the 'Drive By Wire' thing like in the US Spec ones

we definitely have a throttle cable , regardless of what year it was made.

even my Gen5.5 1MZFE has a throttle cable

thats because the Aust Gen4/Gen5 1MZFE's are equivilent to a Gen4 in the US

Ahh ok then, thanks for that Terry, makes life a bit easier.
I'm just not sure what to do here. I sorta like the idea of having a nice new engine in the car, but then again, i like the idea of rebuilding a 2VZ and keeping it "original". See what i can get from it. Hard choice!

I think that it's quite feasible.....BUT......it's going to be about as easy to put it in yourr car as it would be to put a 3sgte into the gen 3 camry.....

I think you should just go the way of the 3sgte...at least it will drop into the gen2 easily, and a lot better tuning capability with FI

Roots type, screw (lysholm screw), positive displacement blower. Their all the same, just different names.

Your thinking of a centrifigual blower, which is like a turbo except belt driven.

3SGTE ai!...hmm. Nah definetly not into that. V6 all the way, wether it be 2VZ,3VZ,1MZ etc. Good tip though, for the "all out performance enthusiast".

Haha, a pro stock scoop..well that might be a bit TOO much haha. Better yet, just remove the bonnet!
