91 Camry Radiator Question

I have an Automatic 91 v6 Camry (the boxy year).
My radiator cracked so I ordered a new one from a parts place for 150.
The radiator came and had 91 camry written on it, but when i took off my radiator I noticed the new radiator had the upper radiator hose inlet on the opposite side...basically if standing infront
of the car looking at the motor the v6 upper hose is on the left...this new one is on the right...
Other than that the radiators look exactly the same.
so I called the place and they wont exchange it and insist its for my car...

I dont want to drop another 150 and and run into the same problem so I had a few questions.

I am gonna assume this radiator is off a 4cyl camry, since the bottom of the radiator is set up exactly the same. Ie...drain ****, lower hose and the 2 tranny hoses appear to come out in the same exact spot, and the radiator fits on the car also. radiator measures the same sizes also.

Im wondering if there is a big difference in cooling from the 4cyl to 6cyl motors.

I was planing on just routing the hose from the wrong side(right) back to the right side(left).

my only real question is for the tranny hoses. how can I tell which is for the coolant and which is for the oil? if some one can confirm which nipple on the lower part of the radiator fgoes to which tube...

thanks

Correct.

The upper radiator hose inlet on the 4 cyl. is on the right side.

I'm not sure, but I would probably say no since the radiators seem to be the same size.

Both hoses carry tranny fluid.

Left = inlet (from tranny).

Right = outlet (back to tranny, near the tranny pan).

If you look where the hardlines (metal pipes) come out of the tranny, you'll see that one is higher then the other. The one higher up is the outlet.

I would call your parts place again and ask them if they have an email address, so you can send them pics of your original vs. the one they sent. They quite definitely sent you a 4cyl radiator.

I'm not sure I would want to route the upper hose over the exhaust manifold to make it work.
