Unhappy 87 camry reverse lights don't light up

It's not so cool backing up with no reverse lights

I checked the fuses and they're all in order and none are burned out..

So what should I check/do next?

check the actual light bulbs. if they are good check to see if you are getting power at the back up light sensor thats probably on the trans. if you are getting power at the switch and the bulbs are good and you have power there, i would say tht the switch is bad.

...Yeah the bulbs are good too

also no power getting to the bulbs too as I remember trying to tap into them to put in an audible backup device so at least i could be heard backing up..

I'll have to see if i can figure out/find the back up light sensor

thanks for the reply

check the wires where they come into the trunk... on the gen2 it's badly placed near the trunk latch which can easily cut the wires it's happened to me a few times where the middle lights doesn't light up at all and i have to splice the wires togehter again

it happens to me occasionally...for me, it was a switch...it's hit or miss whether or not they come on, so it doesn't bother me...jiggling the shifter usually works for me...i'm not too worried about fixing it, though....good luck with it, though.
