I got my contacts on E bay via Store "Triodiode dc electric and tractor " Their direct e mail is
Weitzel@accnorwalk.com. Tell them brand of starter and model # ( Also car you have) They knew parts needed. Contacts for my 96 wagon was $9.90 includ. freight.
I was in rush so I also had toyota dealer order which came in overnight to them at no xtra cost to me. Was little cheaper and also had new nuts and Bolts ( triodiode supplies only contacs so you re-use hardware) . my part # was 028099-7220 for Starter kit. They pulled # off their computer on Parts sheet for starter. Your guy should have done same. ( Called 3 dealers before 1 would spend time to pull up for me)
You can also check your local telephone book for an Auto electric supply house. Give them the mfg name off your starter ( nipodenso ??)and model # and they should have it.
Big savings over dealer doing contacts at $220 or new starter install at $460
