A140E, A140L, or A540E?

Are you looking for anything specific?

I have the wiring diagrams for ECT and A/T indicator, and over drive for a A140E.

There is a manual just on the tranny, which I don't have. ECT (A140E) diagnosis manual.

Thanks anyways man... couldn't find the info fast enough so im just going to swap the 5sfe for a 3sfe that came with the tranny.

Second motor swap for the wagon in 3 months. 3sfe to 5sfe and back again

You swapped a 5SFE into a Gen 2?? If so, you should do a write up on it, some ppl here would be very keen to know what was involved.

I suppose I could. It was actually quiet an easy swap to do. I simply used the shortblock to avoid any wiring issues. Tore the 5sfe down to just the head and block and bolted on all the 3sfe equipment IE (intake manifold, distributor etc...) everything bolted on without an issue. The only way you'd know its a 5sfe rather than a 3sfe is if I told you... the valve covers can even be swapped.

sorry really crappy pic but you can see that the intake manifold is from the 3sfe and the valve cover if you could read it says 2000.

So the swap wouldn't work as the wiring harness are completely different once inside the car. So this is what I need to figure out.

On the tranny from the 87 GT there is only two wires coming off it. 1 power 1 ground im assuming. Now on the harness from the camry there are 5 wires. Im assuming the extra wires are for the ECT button on the console but not too sure. What Im trying to figure out is what color are the wires going to the tranny are for power and ground.?? Or the wiring diagram from the 91 camry with the 3sfe and automatic
