Windshield Wiper problem 97 LE V6

Just purchased a 97 camry le V6 and found out that my wipers dont work the way that they are supposed to.. When I turn them on intermittent, it acts like it is on medium and when I turn it on medium, it acts like it is on high.. Could this be the motor or the control lever? I hope I can get some help on here before I go to the dealer.. Thanks

Its the wiper motor for sure... Go to car-part.com and locate one for your car.. I got mine for $35... I installed it in 2 hours and I was good to go.. Make sure you install the new wiper arms exactly how you took them out or you'll be in a mess..... BTW there are two types of wiper motors... Nippondenso and Ittna Essna... Make sure you get the correct one.. Hope this helps

Just a trick for getting the wiper arms back in the same spots. I mark the spot on the glass where the wiper blade hits the window with some masking tape. Then, when reinstalling everything I can reattach the wiper arms putting the blades in the exact same spots.

windshield wiper problem on 02 Corolla LE

My windshield wipers stay on even with the lever in off position. So, it's on whenever the engine is on. I think it's the electrical switch going bad. Could someone give me some advice? Thanks.
