1997 Camry tranny problem.. I think!

My newly purchased 1997 camry is doing something none of my other camrys have done before and my wife tells me its me and thinks I only want to start an argument with her.. When accelerating around 55mph, the car is fine. When I left off of the gas the cars rpms drops fast to around 1000 and then shoots up in between 1000 and 2000 rpms.. This doesnt seem normal to me but I've never had a V6 camry before and am just wondering.. Any help? BTW this forum has helped me alot in the last week since Ive gotten my camry.. Thanks guys!

Take the butterfly thing off (take off 4 Bolts & 2 Rubber Tubes), then clean the inside part
of the Manifold. (SPRAY AROUND THE RED ARROWS)

You might also wanna clean the Intake opening. Spray some into the Tube (RED ARROW) and also you want to spray some on the small metal tube (BLUE ARROWS) DO NOT SPRAY THE RUBBER TUBES! YOU SPRAY THE CARBY CLEANER INTO THE METAL TUBE NOT THE RUBBER TUBING

See how dirty the bufferfly thing is (Use Carby Cleaner or Upper Engine Cleaner)

After: clean as new
