92 camry stalling

I just purchased a used 92 camry w/ 140,000 miles on it. On the test drive it drove great and I took it to a mechanic for a pre purchase check and they said it was allright. Next day when I started the car it started fine. I drove out of my subdivision and the check engine light came on and the car stalled. It does this every time I start the car. After I drive about 5-10 miles car runs great. What could the problem be.

I would say the check engine light...

seriously though that would be the best place to start, run the self diagnostic test and check what code comes up, Buy the Chilto repair manual or Toyota service repair manual so you know what the number code stands for and repair accordingly.

My 92 camry is stalling during the beginning of my drive. I connected TE1 and E1 ports to get error code because check engine light was coming on. I have an error code of 22. How do I fix this?

Quit starting new threads....

I think its a temp sensor code, not 100% sure of the top of my head. Check that link out though it might be help full
