3rd Generation Installing Electric Fan In 93 V6 Xle

I am going to replace my hydraulic fan with an electric fan. Does anyone have any advice on which fan to get and the best way to install the electric fan? I will appreciate all help and comments

You should try doing asearch but I dont think it has been done, that I can rememebr seeing on here anyway.

Maybe TOny the Tiger did when he went turbo and all but not sure.

You will need to have a temp sensor to know when to turn it on and all wiring. You need to know the CFM that the fan currently flows so you can match an electric fan to as close as possible to taht.

The hydraulic fan was only in the '92 and '93 V6 Camrys because they didnt have the 1MZ-FE.
The 1MZ-FE has electric fans stock.

SO zoni, how would you go about running an electric fan if you were to go this route. What would you use to contro the fan and things of that nature.

i am using an electric fan in my 94 i didnt go this route though. i used a later 1mz PS pump instead of using the 94 1mz pump and plugging it. i didnt get the pump with my motor when i swapped so it was just an easy decision to go this way...

i am using a dual electric low profile FlexALite fan from summitracing.com. I opted to buy the electric fan controller. it is an independant electronic unit that controls the fan on/off. You adjust it with a dial to the desired temperature. it comes with a temp sensor as well.

thats the best thing to do as far as controlling whatever type of electric fan you get. the only other way is a switch that is user controlled, and that can be forgotten and not switched on or forgotten and not switched off and drain your battery.

Tony is using an electric fan as well, and the same rad i have (i stole his idea on the actual radiator). I think his fan is a single fan unit from what i remember. He controls it with his AEM EMS though...

that is decided by which side of the radiator the fan is on...
if you plan on getting rid of your a/c, then you can put a pusher fan in front of the radiator, where the a/c condenser is.
if you are keeping the a/c then get a puller fan, cause it has to pull through the rad.
