Where's the ECU located in a Gen3 camry??

sorry for the n00b question, but I couldn't find the ecu. (mind you, I didnt look to hard) :wink:

I want to turn my horn defeat on, anyone know if there is anything special I have to do other than just flip a switch on the ECU ?

I think it's in the dash, not 100% sure off the top of my head.

where abouts??? under the stearing column ?

Right under the glove compartment (you'll need to remove that to get to it).

I'm not sure how you mean "under" the glove compartment... the glove compartment goes like back into the console... what exactly do I have to remove ?

Remove the glove compartment (wait did I already said that?)

Try to get your hands on it first, then you'll understand what I mean.

It'll be very hard for you to break any important part of the car (so by all means give it a try).

Come back and tell us if you can locate it.

What is this "horn defeat" thing ?

and the "horn defeat" is the option that makes it "chirp" when you press the keyless entry button
