3rd Generation 94' Camry Coupe V6 LE Engine Shut Off Problem

I have a 94' Camry Coupe V6 LE. Its in excellent condition, leather interior, sun roof etc. I only have a minor problem with it when it comes to slowing down at turns or at stop lights. The engine shuts off at slow speed or while waiting at stop lights. The engine works fine during normal speed and highway speed only causes problems at slow speeds. Once this happen the light comes on the dash board "Check Engine". I just put the car back into park and restart the engine and its back to normal. But the problem comes back.

Does any one have any idea to what might be causing the problem? Could it be the throttle that is causing the problem ?

Thanks for the help guys

when's the last time the fuel filter was changed? give that a check, and also checking the throttle body would be a good idea. its always good to do a nice thorough cleaning with carb/throttle cleaner from time to time.

of course im sure there are lots more possibilities, but my gut said fuel filter first.

good luck!
