95 auto transmission slip

Hi all, I'm trying to decide weather I should keep my Camry or not. It needs the cv joints replaced and some suspention work done. Now I'm trying to decide if I should fix her or just buy another car.

Here is the transmission problem. Every now and then at a redlight when it's time to go and I give it gas it'll roll but barely but if I take my foot off the gas and give it a sec then it'll go. It only happens from a dead stop and usually if it's been idleing for a few minutes. Funny thing it never happens in my driveway. Now this only happens maybe 1 to 2 times a week if that.

The car has 150,000 miles on it and I want to change the transmission fluid but I'm a little scared to after searching the forums and reading about how the problems can become worse quick with a fluid change. I'm hopeing that it's just a problem with a dirty filter and not enough transmission fluid being able to flow.

Any advice on what I should do? I'm a little short on cash so I wanted to get some advice before I take it into a shop.

What this guy is describing is almost exactly what is happening to me http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t94441.html ... It's like there is just a loss of power. Now that I think about it The RPM's do not rev up just maybe a little.

Well A tune up is what she will get. I was thinking maybe it's the fuel filter getting a little clogged??? I'm going to start the tune up this weekend and see how things go.

Don't know if this helps but I just changed auto tranny fluid and filter at 235K due to shift solenoid problem and everything is fine so far. Gasket, filter and fluid was about $25. Torgued to specs and no leaks, shifts fine. '92 Camry
