3rd Generation PIAA Xtreme White Plus for Gen 3.5 Camry?

Just about everyone here in the forum tried Sylvania SilverStar but it's weird that no one ever mention about PIAA's xtreme white plus? I have xtreme white for low beam and silverstar for high beam. I think xtreme white give a more white colored light than silverstar when looking at them at a close distance. Why no one ever vote for xtreme white plus? Any suggestion?

PIAAs make high quality stuff. They make lights for pro rally cars.

There's only on concern with bulbs like that, and that's having bulbs that are too hot. It sounds odd, but it happens. Two different situations can occur. One is that the bulb melts the housing and does damage that way. The other is that it gets too hot and melts the wiring. This has happened on a few cars that I have seen come through my shop recently.

Those worries aside, They aren'y that much brighter than SilverStar, and definetly not worth $65. Even $25 a bulb for Silverstars is pushing it on the price. However silverstars are nice and pure white. Paying more than that for a regularly replaced part is too much.

3rd Generation

I have PIAA's xtreme white plus for about 6 mos and Sylvania's Silverstar for about 5 mos. Both still running good. I got the PIAA for $45, it's an open box sale from cardomain.com but didn't give me any problem so far. The Sylvania costs me $39 before tax. On both hi/low beam headlight housing sockets, I added scoket wire extension with strengthed guage wire to prevent melt down of stock sockets (I did saw those horrible socket melt down pictures). So far so good.

project corolla,

I really like that purple-ish hue to the light in your 2nd beam pic. Is that a camera flaw or is that the actual color of light projected?
