Couple questions about NOS, and NOS in a gen 3

First off, I have almost no knowledge of the different setups for nos.

1. What's a "wet" setup for nos?

2. What's a "dry" setup?

3. Isn't there a NOS setup you can feed through your intake?

4. Is there a type of NOS setup you can have that is safe enough that you dont need to do any engine mods?

5. When you have a bottle of NOS, and you hit the magical naaaaaaawzzz button, how much from that bottle gets used? Or does that depend on your setup?

1. What's a "wet" setup for nos?
Wet nitrous systems work by using a duel nozzle of feeding both fuel and nitrous at the same time. This has several benefits

There is no need to rejet / retune the vehicle when not running on nitrous
Provides superior performance over a dry nitrous system
Does less damage to the car and avoids running lean and detonating
As a general rule of thumb does not need to retard timing as much due to its more exact fuel / air ratio's
These kits generally cost more than a dry system, but are a much safer system. The fuel is metered via a separate fuel reservoir / fuel pump depending upon the model vehicle and fuel system set-up. For more detailed info go to the respective website linked above for more info.

2. What's a "dry" setup?
Dry systems work by injecting a small amount of nitrous only into the vehicle. Usually the vehicle is re jetted richer to match nitrous supply or in the case of an EFI system, raises fuel pressure to feed more fuel. Not a very economical system nor very efficient. When only dealing with 50hp shots of nitrous this is a cheap and easy way to do it, but very easy to damage your motor. Timing also needs to be retarded heavily to avoid detonation. EFI Cars can run a dry system more effectively when running a piggy back computer like Unichip which has a NOS switch to feed extra fuel, although still not as efficient as the wet system below for equal fuel / nitrous distribution but good for low amounts of nitrous.

3. Isn't there a NOS setup you can feed through your intake?
dry setup

4. Is there a type of NOS setup you can have that is safe enough that you dont need to do any engine mods?
yes very low shot of nitrious

5. When you have a bottle of NOS, and you hit the magical naaaaaaawzzz button, how much from that bottle gets used? Or does that depend on your setup?
[depend on how much shot you use

and stop calling it NOS its nitrious.

NOS is way to much money to spend. NX do the same job for less.

Just wondering, how many shots can you push in a Gen 3 I-4 without blowing it up?
