this light has been on for eons it seems. I did the top end reseal with new new belts etc and disconnected the battery. how do I turn this light off, manual says to take the vehicle to a dealer immediately to have him reset the light with "factory tool". I also need a new antenna and a driver side tail light. any suggestions? oh, its a v6.
My airbag light has been on forever too... so I took the bulb out.
As for the antenna and driver's side tail light... ebay. You could deffinitely get the tail light on ebay.
there is a thread in here somewhere about how to turn the light off. you ahve to ground two different terminals on the diagnostic connector under the hood. IF you follow the steps and it does not turn off then there is a problem with the SRS system and you should have it checked out by a qualified technician to determine why the light is on. If you dont care about the SRS system working then you can do like HoboJoe and jsut remove the light from the instument cluster.

Yeah. My lights been on ever since I ripped the interior out of the car for paint last summer. NExt time I have the dash apart, I'll probbaly just take the bulb out.
I would like to ensure that the airbag will pop out in case I hit a deer or something. I will try and search for the procedure to turn it off. thanks fellas!
oh and does the 96 tail look the same as the 93? I thought they changed slightly.

They are different. They changed in 95. 92-94 has four tail/brake lights and the 95-96 has two. Then center plate on the early ones is a plexi lens with lights in it the later ones are body colored with jsut a red plexi piece inthe lower corners.
