Turning my chrome Y into gold '96 Camry

After a long search, I have found a replacement for the missing Y in the word C A M R Y that is spelled out in individual letters across the trunk of my 1996 Camry.

But the one I found at a junkyard is chrome and my trim package is gold. Can anyone suggest how I might go about finding gold paint that would match the rest of the letters, so the Y doesn't look out of place when I paint it?

And while I'm at it, does anyone have any suggestions for what kind of glue I would use to attach this letter solidly to the trunk? After all this searching about and painting, etc., I'd hate to have the thing fall off again.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

maybe re-paint all of the letters so they match?

Not a bad thought, but there's other badging on the back-end that uses the same gold coloring, so it might still clash. But not as bad.

I hate to rip all the letters off though -- especially because I'm not even sure how I'm going to stick the missing ones back on as it is.

Thanks for the tip. That thread is very helpful. So the adhesive question is answered.

Now it's just a matter of figuring out how to turn a chrome emblem into gold...

Call a "trim shop" - any auto customizer listed in the yellow pages. There are several near me that do electroplating. You can probably get a kit (although I don't know the cost of a kit) and do it yourself - I know its fairly simple, and is done on the car - emblems are not removed.
