New Camry V6 LE starts at $29400 CDN

I checked out the new Camry 2007, apparenlty the price did not really go up. Well, it went up $100 bucks according to the sales person. So I asked him who would buy at 2006, he said with the 2006 you will get a better financing rate.

Any way, it's a cool car. Believe or not, the new V6 engine 3.5 liter with more horse power of course, 268hp, actually gets better gas mileage than any of the old Gen 5 V6's with about 190 horse power. it's 26/40 mpg (city/hwy). Amazing! Automatic is also 6 speed, that may be part of the reason for the good gas mileage.

29400 + 1240 (freight) + A/C tax (100) + battery tire levy (20) + 14% tax = $35,000 for this baby.

This is Canadian price of course.

Shit, back in the day of the 2nd gen, $14000usd for the LE was considered quite a bit, and the DX was around $12000 or something.

Damn inflation...

when I went and got my 03 last weekend, they had a full shipment of 07s in, and were offering 21,000 for the 06 V6... out the door for about 21,700... a new 07 was about 27,000-30,000.
(06 i4, stripped down to nothing was 16,000)

According to Toyota.com you can get a CE with auto starting at 19,320. For all of the safety features and the bells ans whistles you do get that doesnt seem like a bad deal if you ask me.

26/40? No way! The correct number is 28/31.
