1994 Toyota Camry LE Steering Question

Hey Guys,

I just got a 1994 Toyota Camry LE with 78000 miles, and I absalutely love it. It is my first car. I bought it because my girlfriend has a 1993 Toyota Camry LE with 115000 miles on it that runs perfectly. After driving hers it seems that her steering seems to return to the center faster than mine does (also my camry's steering seems a little looser). Is there anything that I can do to my car to improve this? Also does anybody have any recomendations for me as to what I should do to my Camry? Thanks!

Guess the first thing you could do is make sure you dont have any leaks from the P/S system. I dont think they changed anything on the steering from 93 to 94. Different tires could make a difference also. IT shouldnt amtter much but is one a 4cyl and one a 6cyl or anything like that.

Ads for what you can do to your car. there are so many threads on here about different things people ahve done to their Camry. Look in the show and share section and you can probably get some good ideas.

Most people are probably going to tell you to do something like lower it and go with 17 or 18 inch wheels, tint, exhaust, intake , front strut bar, rear sway bar from whiteline. Obviously most of this stuff is cosmetic. There is not much aftermarket support for the Camry when it comes to engine and performance mods. But if you want to get really wild you can add turbo, do an engine swap and blah blah blah.

It all depends on how much money you have and how much of it you want to part with.

Have you had the alignment checked? The caster setting is what effects the wheel going back to center after a turn. Probably not adjustable on your car but it could still be off.
