3rd Generation Will a Gen 4 strut brace fit a Gen 3.5?

I'd like to help out Porkch0p220 and take his strut brace off his hands but I don't know if his gen 4 brace will fit my gen 3.5? Will it?

well, i've never tried it, but based on the adjustability of the strut brace i got from ebay and the similiarity in dimensions between the two generations, it is entirely likely that it may fit..... not to rain on porkchop getting rid of his strut brace, but the ones on ebay are only $28 and change shipped and they seem to be decent quality...



edit: do you know anyone with a gen 4 that would let you poke under the hood and compare/measure? or maybe coerce some guy at a dealership to let you look at a used gen4... that would be a really good way to get a good idea. or you could just buy it and if it doesn't fit resell it....

well he only wants $5+ shipping so can't beat that.

unfortunately no I don't..new to the area so I don't even know where the nearest dealership is.

www.toyota.com click on locate a dealer and enter your zipcode, that should help you find one. or you could just drive around till you see any random dealership and pull in and ask if they have any on the lot.

Here is the TRD strut Brace from my gen 4 here on my Gen 3. I heard everyone at one time saying that it would not fit, but I tried it and it does fit....Heres the pic.
