I am doing the same thing pretty much (the swap to black interior I meant). I've trie d several differnt spray on methods and have not been happy with any of them. That's why I have decided to rewrap everything in new black Vinyl. I have enough to do the headliner and rear deck at the moment, and once those are done I'll go buy more material. I'll be sure to keep people posted when I get further into the project.

yeah i was thinking that but then my local custom shop quoted me at around a grand, so i figured i'd spend a couple hundred and see if i could do it. If it sucks i will throw in the towel. But i have seen the results with this stuff and it really does look like its new vinyl.

How much is the vinyl gonna run you? And how many square feet are you looking at? I didn't think of rewrapping myself as an option. When we are done lets compare notes so we can advise others in the future as to what is easier.

Well that spray paint/dye is hands down, no contest the easy way to go, but that doesn't mean it's the best. I can't quite remeber the price, I think I paid about $20/yard (for 60in width). I bought 3 yards for the head liner and rear deck. So I'm gonna gestimate that when I'm done I'll need 7-8yards for the interior, and a few more for the trunk/ speaker box. It's not gonna be easy, but I've wrapped a few box's and found a few tricks online, so I'm going for it.

yeah, Im glad i did my center console and A and C pillars, those have held up well, but the doorjams I shouldnt have done- same reason I refuse to do the door panels. I just dont think paint holds up that well. Besides, on a car as old as mine, the most interior work I would ever be doing in the future is gutting it
