4th Generation Replace Bearing and Camper costs $492

I have 98 camry.

Due to the clicking sound from rear side and front side of car, I have check my car at toyota service yesterday 05/30/2006.

My rear tires always need to replace every year, because of the deformed problem.

The technician told me that I need to replace "rear left Bearing and front right camper kits", and also inform that my rear left Bearing is very danagerous now, the Bearing may fall apart anytime.

Regarding to my budget issue, I have no money to replace that.

Does any one can suggest me that do I need to replace them as soon as possible? or how long I can still use those bad parts?

A few solutions i see if this car belonged to me, fix it myself. The tools and parts, and time (i'd figure a couple days). The cost would be maybe half if you do it yourself, maybe even less. There are manuals to download here that will tell you how. If you have some mechanical ability might be worth a try.

Another option - maybe hire one of those underemployed handyman/mechanic guys you see notices for in the paper or on bulletin boards etc. And then get a flat price and have him do it. and buy your own parts first.

What kind of clicking noises are you getting. I have a similar problem too. It clicks when I stop and I can hear some constant clicking when I drive slow. I also get clicking noise when I turn but I assumed I needed to replace my CV joints and the constant clicking was struts/shocks.

Interesting...keep us updated.
