94 camry 3rd brake light - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

i just put a rear deck spoiler on my 94 camry with a 3rd brake light mounted inside spoiler .. the original tail light in back
window i took off and hooked new brake light to its wires
now the light on dash comes on thinking that a brakelight
is out .. has anyone figured out what to do for this problem?

you have to add resistors or hook back up the original lights aswell
the car is reading a lower resistance of wire which is usually caused by a poped light element

There is a module you can get from toyota for the problem, if i remember correctly it about $14USD
