2000 camry passenger headlight out

2000 Camry passenger side headlight, low beam, went out. Put in new. Still out. No 12v at connector.

From what I gather from the schematics I scrounged on the internet, there is a 20 A fuse for each light. In any case, both fuses look good (hard to remove) but when I pulled the one for the driver side (marked LH) it stayed on.

I also went by what is printed on the fuse box cover, which, one would hope, is accurate.

Signed, Puzzled.

No. Dim bulb. Me. My low beam was out, but I was looking at the high beam. My excuse is I had just changed plugs, in below freezing weather and decided I would tackle the light right then.

I just pulled the wrong socket out.

The plugs were a very frustrating experience as the "grommet" that holds the plug in the socket refused to release the plug after tightening. When I did get the socket out, the grommet stayed behind. After playing that game for a while, I wanted to try the vacuum hose trick, but did not have any. I resorted to an old plug wire set, cutting off the hard plastic part that goes down the tube and trimming off the rubber seals. Holds the plug perfectly and is easy to slip down the tube and get the plug finger tight. You'd have to work real hard to cross thread it too.

The warm glow of success must have softened my brain.
