That kit is real low when lowered, i would know cause i have one. It can be a pain to drive, you just have to know where you can and cant go. It also drives me crazy that the rear bumber sits lower then the rest of the car. Just my 2 cents....
thanks man, Gotta avoid any holes in the hole cause at all costs.... Next on the list is the 3sgte/tranny swap. Im sure ill have a bunch of questions for all you guys that have done it
Thats the only thing holding be back when ever I look at or talk to someone about that kit the first thing to come up is the height. But does any one know what the numbers are compared to OEM
Sorry guys for brings this thread back up but I would rather be dead sure of weather getting it or not. Than just to jump in and spend 500 and not beable to drive anywhere.
Do you see what this guy did he put this kit on with OEM Hubs, and looks like stock height also
so that is a plus on getting it right, also if you looks at the part where our factory air bottle? goes on the lower right side there are vents and also if Luis comes thru with the CAIs than that means it will be loc there right so that means if you go over even a slight puddle it could go through the vents to the CAI right. THanks in advance
you could put on aftermarket rims and keep it stock height and it probably wouldn't be so bad. It is definately low though.
Water ingestion in intakes happens, but it isn't THAT common. To really hurt things you have to suck in a lot of water. So unless you are completely submerging the intake, or driving through puddles the size of a small lake, you should be okay. Also, for the gen 3 CAI luis made he located the filter above the splash guard, which would make water ingestion a little harder. I would assume he plans something similar with the gen 4 intake.
