Front License Plate Relocation Kit

Hi All:

Well it has finally caught up with me lately, getting pulled over for no Front License Plate here in NJ. Both Paramus and Rivervale NJ, so be careful !!!! Seems like NJ is cracking down on the cars that do not have one. I have seen alot of Corvettes getting pulled over as well. Luckily, I was able to talk my way out of the ticket.

Instead of drilling holes in my front bumper on my 98 TRD Camry, has anyone have a Front Licesne Plate relocation kit that they would recommend for the Camry ????

On the Subaru forums, which I also own a Forrester, talks of the EVO front license plate that works on alot of applications for around $40.00.

Looking for any alternatives

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
TRD_Rob

Well, on our DSM's we have a bigger scoop than the camry and what we do is we get a 90 degree bracket and drill the holes in the scoop and drill facing up. You cant see the holes unless you literally put your head in the scoop. Maybe you can do that? Its the lesser evil.

^ wow...that's tough stuff....

I ran without a plate for over a year before I finally got a ticket and I put it back on....at least now I don't start sweating once I see a cop....

and you can also think about 3m double-sided tape....just be careful when you take it off though....make sure you use alcohol or thinner before you attempt to rip the plate off- mine took a huge chunk of paint with it

I used to have a VW Corrado, and I didnt want to ruin the front bumper with a plate. So, I took a small piece of sheet metal, and a plastic bracket from auto zone, drilled some holes in the bottom of my bumper, and hung the plate off to one side. It hung down about an inch lower than the rest of the car, but it was flexible, so any time it hit the ground, it would fold up under the car. I recommend hanging the plate.
