Clean Old/Dirty Headlights to Clear?

I have a 1994 Toyota Camry and the headlights seem pretty yellow, even after replacing all the bulbs on headlights. I do not wish to buy a new clear headlight set for it, so is there any way I could clean the inside out, possibly sand the whole headlight with fine sandpaper and coat with clear spray paint?. I have not opened the headlight or taken it out yet, so i want to know if there is a way to open it so I can reach the inside of the headlight.

Most likely the yellowing is on the outside. Most Auto Stores have headlight cleaning kits that DO include the sandpaper,

... or brush it with white toothpaste and a toothbrush and see if that helps

Use a fine rubbing compound, then a plastic polish! The more you rub the better it'll look!

this reminds me i need to do this too. im planning on trying what eyeball96 suggested. iarenick, let us know what you decide and the results.

what i did was wetsand them and polished it. removed all the yellow and now my lights are clear.
