Strut nut stuck! Help!

So im replacing the Struts and mounts on my 92 XLE V6, and I have the front right on the spring compressor, and I CANT get the nut off the strut! I have tried penetrating oil, and an impact gun, with no luck. Any advice?

I suggest putting the strut/spring assembly back on the car and bolt it back on. Then take a breaker bar/cheater bar and pop the nut. You need to use some force. If its off and you try, its harder to do.

Do you guys mean to put the assembly back in the car without the spring compressor on? Will I be able to turn the nut when the springs force is on it?

Ok, right now I assume you can't turn it cause of a lack of grip. If it's ont he car, it ain't moving, there is your grip. BUT REMEMBER!!!!!! Just LOOSEN IT! Do not completly unscrew it. Just 1-2 turns is good.

Pretend your tring to put the stock back on, so no compressors. Loosen the nut when its on, its 100times easier (ive only done it a dozens times already haha)
