4th Generation 98 LE: Place to install a cabin air filter?

We now also have a one-owner, 80k-mile, 1998 Toyota Camry LE I4 with a complete maintenance history of being dealer serviced according to the Toyota maintenance schedule.

Is there a place to install a cabin air filter in it?

Thanks

Yes. Get some filters for home ventilation system, cut to size, and shove them in your vents.

4th Generation 98 Lexus ES300 has CAF

The 98 Lexus ES300 uses a cabin air filter. Is it possible that this same filter can be used in a 98 Camry LE?

The 1992-2001 Lexus ES uses a different cabin filter than the Avalon (starting in 2000):

Lexus:

Avalon:
http://info.rockauto.com/WIX/DetailW...asp?Part=24883

Then Lexus got a different one, looks like a cheaper, simpler design than earlier, more like the Avalon but with activated charcoal:

http://info.rockauto.com/WIX/DetailW...asp?Part=24905

Looks like you may be able to interchange the later ones (slight difference in thickness however. Air leaks?).

Can anyone help me find the location of where the "spot for the cabin air filter" is? I have taken the glove box out, but i don't see anywhere that a filter could go.

I understand that I will have to make this filter or it seems that I may be able to use one for an ES. Please help.

Going off of information I found in this thread, Changing Cabin Air Filter, decided to tack onto the newer thread on the subject.

I have a Mazda that has the spot for a filter, just wasn't included from the factory, apparently it's more common than you would think.
