USA rs3000 vip schematic

I have a 96 Camry with the rs3000 vip security system. I bought this one three years ago after my last one was totalled. I believe the car was a rental when new. I have a remote and tried programming it but it doesn't take. The VIP works, the locks lock and unlock with the ignition, I can reset it, the lights flash and everything but it doesn't respond to the remote. The remote works on other RS3000s just not mine. I think it has been bypassed. I need a schematic of the wiring harness to the rs3000. My wiring appears to have some sort of bypass of the red w/ blue striped wire of middle harness connected to the orange wire of the smaller harness. Somebody please help me.

first of all, are you using the correct remote? RS3000 for your year should be using a black, 2 button, football shaped remote. Does your remote match that?
secondly, have you located the ecu unit of the alarm. If you have, what color is the ecu unit?
my third and final question is, what procedure did you use?

My instinct tells me that your alarm is NOT rigged. Neither is it not working properly. The reason for the blue and red wire being tapped MIGHT be that the previous owner needs to powerup/activate something with the auxilary button on your remote. I am not absolutely sure on this though. if you can show us a picture of the "suspicious" wiring, someone might be able to help you.

answering all my questions above, will provide useful info for all TN members to help you.
