Guys we are getting close now to begin heavy work on a TRP turbo kit. Below I am providing the timeframe that we have set out right now for the process:
Oct 16 - Prototyping begins
Nov 6 - Prototyping ends
Nov 18 - 5SFE Turbo dyno
Nov 20 - Group Buy Begins
Dec 18 - Turbo GB Downpayment Due ($1.750)
Jan 15 - Turbo GB Full Payment Due (???)
Mar 5 - 5SFE Turbo Kits ship
This GB will work the same way as the header GB will work. First an initial deposit is required so that we know how many purchasers we really have. Then depending on the number of purchasers we have thats where the discounts will come in. For 5-9 units you'll receive 10% off, 10-14 will get 15% off, 15-19 will get 20% off and if 20+ units are sold you'll receive 25% off. The retail price has yet to be established and it will not be established untill the kits are fully completed.
wish i would have the money...but since im buying the cai and the headers (if they a'rent too expensive) im probably not going to have the cash..sucks

Hey, you guys are working hard! For the turbo kit, are there any preparations needed prior to installing it... especially for a high mileage engine? Is it necessary to rebuild the engine?
Ditto ToLiy and were you guys able to come up with a projected total cost yet?
ps.. keep up the good work.

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.
--Can honestly go to a parts counter and ask for brake shoes for the front brakes.
--Likes long walks on the beach.... once it's lit by a massive bonfire.
also, you might want to try to figure out settings for common forms of management eg: greddy, megasuirt, and the safc.
Great job guys. Your brave to come with a turbo kit to the worlds cheepest car community :p
not including the insane ones with 3sgtes and built v6's

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda
for now ill just stick with na mods on my camry like cai, headers, full exhaust and ya get the picture so I wont be getting this anytime soon but in the future if i decide to actually go turbo with my car i rather do it right and ill just rebuild the motor and just swap out the automatic to a 5 speed manual before i buy this but regardless this is gonna be hot.
