97 Camry XLE radio wiring

I have a 97 Camry XLE that I need to replace a radio/cassette player in. The OEM radio does not have the standard 2 plug wiring and colors that I am use to seeing. It has one plug that I am not able to get a harness to adapt to the new non OEM radio as they only seem to have them for the standard Toyota radio's. I need to cut and splice the new radio in and all I have for wiring info is for the standard 2 plug system and not the one plug. Can anyone help me with the wiring diagram for this one plug OEM radio that I have.

The current OEM plug has 14 wires. g--2sl, y--2sl, r--2sl, w--2sl, bare wire cover with a gray covering, w-g--2sl, r-b--1sl, b--2sl, l--2sl, br--2sl, b--2sl, w--2sl, g--2sl, r--2sl.

g - green, y - yellow, r - red, w - white, l - blue, b - black, br - brown, --2sl - 2 silver strips, --1sl - 1 sliver strip.

Help in identifying would be great.

Thanks

If you're replacing the oem hu for an aftermarket one, look for an additional wiring harness tucked in behind that's more aftermarket friendly. Some models came like that I think to bypass the external amp.

down towards the passenger side of the radio cavity are your two wires. the single wire you see is there because you have premium sound, thus you have an amp, probably under the passenger seat. find your two plugs, unplug them and use the aftermarket harness and viola'!

Thanks Fever and Mazdaverx7 there was a set of standard Toyota radio plugs that were used to take the feed from the external amp to the speakers and such. The one that was in the radio went to them and the amp. You saved me a great deal of work. Thanks so much

I had mine harnessed up.

I got a Sony harness and a Camry harness and it's just a plug and play type of deal.

Fun fun!
