Canada Camry 93 V6 LE engine swap , maybe for a lexus engine ??

Hey Guys, I bought a 93 camry with 265,000 KM on it, and I was thinking, can I swap my engine for a Lexus GS engine or an engine with over 200 HP? Would it be cheaper to rebuild my engine by a professional shop to give me over 200 HP ? I can tell you that putting money into my camry will be way cheaper than buying a new car and having monthly car payments.

The only ways to go are to swap a newer 1MZ-FE which have a little over 200HP but not by much (a TRD supercharger would put you up to about 260HP). The slightly cheaper, better way to go is swapping a 3SGTE engine from an MR2 turbo. These engines have 200 HP stock but are capable of 500+ HP.

No the lexus Gs is RWD not Fwd so it won't work. Yea you have a 3vz you could go with a 1mz like 94coupev6 said, but if you want more fun in your car do a tranny swap to a 5-speed, i have a 92 v6 5-speed with 350 000+ kms on it and it runs beautifally. And its tonnes of fun to drive. Your car right now probably has about 150hp to the wheels so 50 more hp will be hard to find through a small rebuild i think.

that hp number is a little high, it would be more like 235-240 at the crank
