Ok I have see some pictures of the center piece on the 1992-1994 Camry’s where they have been painted the same color as the car. I would love to do this but my question is everyone paints over the 2 break lights that are located on this piece, does the light not show through the paint at night when you step on the breaks? If you just disconnect the bulbs then the “burnt out light indicator” on your dash will turn on right?

Any advice is appreciated
Thanx

When got that tailpiece painted, I asked that the reverse lights be masked off so it won't be painted over. On a 92-94, there is an extra set of brake lights in addition to the reverse lights. You can do the same if you want.

i had the reverse lights masked off as well but painted over the brake lights in the center piece. the brake lights DID shine thru the sides of the paint though. so i removed the bulbs. now the brake light indicator is always on. i heard that there is a dedicated bulb for that indicator and you can just remove that bulb as an easy fix. i'm waiting for my indiglos to come in so i can just do it all at once.
