performance...not much off the shelf at all. But search this forum for old posts by toysrme and he has some "cheap" performance mods you can try. BUT try them at your own risk.

and for looks, browse through the TN gallery and you'll see plenty of ideas.

naw, toysrme is just a user here on TN with some knowledge to share.

and a metalic rattling sound is usually a heat shield of sorts. otherwise it's something bad.

For big power, you need to go custom. However TRD made a supercharger for the 1MZ-FE, although I believe you guys had the 3VZFE in 1994? Either way...not much out there. If you want an extremely fast car you should sell the Camry, but if you want a very reliable and nice car keep the Camry!

Cool

Yeah, but they don't really give performance. Just sound. The factory intake is "good enough". As is the factory exhaust system. The y-pipe & cat are the only real points of interest in the factory plumbing. Yall can't run n2o in ROO-land, so that's out.

Start by building a y-pipe, setting the ignition timing & playing with the mixture alittlebit. Just remember to denote your stock starting points.

I'm plannin' on using a 75-100 shot via a ZEX wet kit system. Should be pretty fun in the V6. It is really a big bummer that nobody really makes anything for our cars. If you're interested in 5-speeds, there is the option to swap transmissions to a Solara V6 5-speed. Just be happy you have the V6 and not the 2.2L...

From what Ive been reading around...

I personally THINK you'd be better off going with the Y pipe instead of extractors along with a high flow cat, dunno exact cost but it would be the same if not less than $600 for extractors which wont have as much of an effect on power. If you have more money to spend, maybe a chip as well... I was reading at the site below that they claim to get gains of up to 16kw and 30Nm of torque on 98RON for around $900... it seems half plausible considering they severly de-tuned the 3VZ-FE or so I believe.

As for the Roo's, I have one as a pet, most Australians do lol or so the sterotype goes.

^ they're FOS. That's on the 92-93 3vz-fe that's castrated. They also claim to do ignition timing, which they don't. What's his name bought one along time ago.
Buy a real chip if you're going to do something. An SMT, or better.
It's got a distributor, a pair of knock sensors, and a cog & bypass screw on the AFM you can use for free.

Cool

SMT's are a line of piggybacks made by Perfect Power.
They're basically in the (upgraded) e-manage, or FTC-1 class of piggybacks. They jsut do more & are cheaper.
