Power lost

I have a 97 camry with about 158k miles on it. I have notice i lose power when i get to 70mph to 80mph. I'm not sure what it is but im think that the engine lacks exhaust. I have a injen air intake.

Does anyone have this problem?

I'd do a compression check on the engine first. If that checks out good, then i'd suspect an exhaust restriction, as you say - like a clogged cat or muffler broken inside.

Yeah with that many miles...something is probably wrong with your exhaust since it's up at higher speeds when you notice the lag in power. But yeah, get a compression test and do some maintenance such as plugs, wires, oil/filter, clean intake plenum...the list goes on.

Thanks for the help. That what i expected to be, it might be the exhaust. Compression test would be a good thing to do,also. She been through alot, I'm trying to fix the car up a little bit, sooon I'm giving it to my sister next summer.
