How to relieve the system pressure

HI guys,

I just read the Hayes repair manual for camry V6, and they ask to relieve the system pressure many times, but I cannot find any information about how to do it, and do anyone have idea about it?

Thank you,

3rd Generation relieving fuel system pressure

To relieve fuel sys pressure you remove the fuel pump fuse of pump wireing harness and crank over the engine.

^ best way to do it but fuel will still come out, remove the gas cap as well but dont forget to put it back on, when I did my headgasket I kept wondering where that gas smell was coming from when the garage would get hot

Pull the fuel pump fuse and start the engine. It will die, pressure is gone.
