3rd & 4th Generation (19921996 & 19972001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Ive got a '94 Camry Le 4dr. I need a new driver and passenger seat, and i was looking at swapping in the lexus seats. So my question is, what model lexus do they come from, and how much of the interior is interchangeable. Also from what i read the seats are a direct drop in, is this correct.
well i think the lexus had power leather in them so try to pull as much wiring as you can and your going to have a small bit of splicing. but interior parts are all interchangable but remember you swap one part of the dash you have to swap it all.
lexus had
power seats?
i know auto climate control
and diffrent interior
also petal parking brake

^ and leaving it that way!
the ES300 of the same years (camry 92-96 & ES 92-96) the seats will swap, i have back seat from an ES in my camry right now, and it looks HOT!!! im sure front seats would swap just fine too, as im sure the brackets are the same, the seats would fit right in, the only thing i can think of there is that there may be extra wires on the ES's that aren't on the Camry's, (heated seats, electric, etc.).
hope this helps in some way, a lot is swappable, but like chronti said, you'll have to do almost everything if you do one, cause it will look off, and line won't match up! i like it cause the ES had the black leather option whereas the camry didn't

in the es300, the front driver seat is 8-way power, the front passenger is 4-way power, and there is a 50/50 chance on it being heated seats (the ones in my es300 aren't heated). there are practically two variations- tan leather and black leather, since 96% of the es300 come with leather seats (cloth beige seats are rare). get the headrests too (just in case you find seats w/o headrests) since they're 4-way adjustable (height and angle).
The seats are abotu the Only interchangeable pieces ont he ES to Camry. The stock front seats in my camry are basicically ES300 seats. Both power seats. It actually has the space and plug for a seat heater, haha.

well i think im just gonna swap over the seats, now the question is tan or black leather. Im leaning more towards black. Also what about the door panels and stuff, im not gonna wory about dash. And, anybody in MA have an ES they feel like parting haha

Fit fine. I think my seats ARE the same as the ES300. I have dual power seats. They ES and Cam mounting bolts are the same, bolt right in. I think the power motor has the same connector. They do bolt in fine though.
Edit....Just thought about the COUPE in perticular. Only issue you would have is back passengers because they would not flip forward.
