just thought you'd like to know...not sure how long it's been out, but a cold air intake is finally out for the 1992-96 camry v6. i'm waiting for the 96-02 4cyl. to come out, which is still pending. http://www.aempower.com/product_intake_app.asp
if you do a seach, i think you can get it cheaper. hope this info helps...i wish they would come out with the 4cyl 96-02 already!
i have currently an injen short ram intake...but i'll be moving to texas soon, so i want to get the CAI asap....no point in blowing in hot air
just thought i'd put the info up, bec alot of camry owners (including me) are waiting for a CAI...not that crappy short ram intake from injen. if u search on yahoo...i saw the aem cai for like $215....i think...remember, that link i put on the original post is directly to aem's website...of course the price will be sky high
Go to www.contemporarymotorsport.com I found a better price for it the aem cold air cost $226.86 the aem short ram cost $105.78 not bad price. This is only for 92-96 CAMRY V6'S!!! I own a 93 camry v6 le gen 3!!!! I feel lucky!! I will buy the cold air and I will need a bypass valve too.
they said it'll be here on wed by ups... most likely i'll miss the ups cuz of class. but i should have it on thursday and then i'll install it that night.
i'll post pictures when i have it installed... but i was looking at the engine bay (i already have a short ram intake installed) and it doesnt look like there's much space for the CAI to reach cold air... we'll see how it goes.
maybe this is a dumb question, but from your last post, it sounded like you want to install the cai with the short ram together? or maybe i just got confused when reading your post? just wondering bec i also have a short ram intake (injen) and would rather install the cai.
and for the other poster, trpj1984, who wanted to see if it'll fit his gen 3 4cyl., don't worry, aem is coming out with 4cyl cai for gen 3 and gen 4 (waiting for gen4 myself)....hopefully it won't be too much longer of a wait
