ABS wheel speed sensor, front

The ABS light is on and the RF wheel speed sensor showed an open circuit. I decided to pull the sensor out of the hub to inspect/clean it before dropping $145 on a new one. The sensor had cracked off flush with the hub leaving the sensor end stuck in place. Has anyone had this happen and how did you get the piece out?
