Exclamation Gen4 CAI Refunds

Product Update:

Couplers – The couplers were completed and I have received them.

Piping – We had several issues with the mandrel bender that was contracted to do this production run. Firstly they more than doubled the per unit cost (closer to triple) due to the drop in units requested to be produced. An increase in price was expected but almost tripling the cost was absurd. Secondly the two sample pieces they made were not to a quality level that I found acceptable. They left ridges in the piping were the mandrel bender bent the piping that would not have polished out nor would powder coat have covered them up either. They tried to correct this issue but however it just wasn’t satisfactory.

Release – Obviously this info is irrelevant to this GB as there will be no GB but the product is still being developed and will still be released for purchase once they are completed and in stock. This will be either via company webpage or eBay.

Refunds:

Everyone will be receiving a full refund for the CAIs. Each individual purchaser will receive an email regarding their refund to confirm, amount and mailing location for refund. Those of you whom this applies to will be contacted in the order in which payment was received. Those who paid first will receive refunds first. For those individuals who chose to also receive the Silicone Hose Kit along with their CAI will be contacted also in reference to that item as it is available and can be shipped out. If those individual prefer to receive a refund for that item as well they will receive one complete refund for both items when their refund is issued. Bottom line is they everyone is getting a refund.

General Info/ Comments

I do understand that my lack of communication during the last 4-6 weeks has not allowed the best conclusion to this situation and I do apologize about that. There have been circumstances that have overwhelmed me as of late. On another note, I have been on these forums for years and never once before have I taken the funds of any member and defrauded them before. I have been responsible for a lot more money (CF Hood GB with $550+ for 15 members) than $200 for 6 or seven members and have never run away with money. I can understand the frustration for the lack of communication but I am still the same member then as I am now with the same principles and have no desire to take money from anyone. This project simply did not receive anywhere near the support that was expected from the feeler thread and we tried to still make it happen but unfortunately it just became some thing that was beyond the company’s reach at this point and time.

Anyone else who has any further questions and or concerns can email me at Sales@TeamRedlinePerformance.com or can contact me via phone at 646-778-8830. All that information is available via the website.

I didn't personally get in on the buy but I would like to commend you for coming back when you were obviously not thought of too well. Im sure many of the poeple didn't know you for all those years and getting scammed on things like these on other forums is pretty common. When you finally do come out with the cai and if i still have my camry be sure to let us know.

IMO, I think you'd be successful if you had the product already made and ready to ship. Yeah I know it'd require money out of your pocket without sales beforehand, but I'd keep the production at a minimum (like Rippmods). Yes, everyone was disappointed and I too was very worried because you know I'm already dealing with another situation, but I didn't doubt you till recently. Atleast I didnt act an ass about it *no, it's not directed to anyone*

Well, Luis contacted me about my intercooler piping. It's not a refund like what you guys are waiting for, but he hasn't vanished into the dark either. It's pretty much a one-way conversation. He doesn't really reply directly to what I ask, but will show up and give me a quick update saying more time is needed. I get updates from him about every 3 to 5 months for a project that was supposed to be a few weekends. At least the last email had pictures of progress...and it looked pretty good.

Take this for what it's worth....

Steve

What the gay!! I aked him to do the same thing and he hasn't been e-mailing me. I e-mailed him yesterday after a long ass time asking him to either refund me or have a final product by April because I have a feeling this is going to turn into another Allen transaction. I told him if I dont get a refund by April he may be seeing court papers (considering if I get money back or not). When I get paid next week I'm going to court and going after Allen. I have everything on him. Enough said

I think it's time to give an update on the actual TIMEFRAME of when the refunds are going out. It's only fair.
