3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I know there arent any lip kits available for the Gen3 and I know theres the RMM lip. I was wondering how hard would it be to mold in a lip kit from another car and which one would be easier to convert? I have a friend who does some really good FB work and I do some FG work myself so we decided we could either make one from scratch of build off an existing kit.
as long as the demensions and the curvature of the lip are about the same as on the camry then i should work. eribuni has an entire lip kit that actually looks pretty good. http://www.erebunicorp.com/clearance/tocamry.htm
i made my own but its just a bottom section off an old taurus front bumper. it fit well and looks prettys considering it cost 10 bucks. the one on my old camry i had painted to match and it looked really good but on the one u have now i kept it black to match the black running boards under the door. pics of both are in my sig if ya wanna check em out.
I have heard of people converting actual body kits for honda acocrds of the same year to fit on a camry, I dont see why a lip wouldnt work... Its just going to be a lot of work and could end up being expensive...
you could always piece a lip kit together with a rmm front, some form of side skirts and a razzi rear lip... thats what I plan to do
its off a stock like, 90-95 taurus. when u look at the bumper u see the bottom section is devided, that bottem piece is what i have, i used the holes on the lip itself to hold it on to the rest of the bumper. then i just lined it up, drilled new holes in my bumper and bolted it in.

Wow, that's a really cool idea. I'd probably look into doing something similar, but I already hit my front bumper daily as it is.
Worse come to worst, you could do what the SCEP guys used to do and cut the bottom of a stock camry front end to mold a lip with. That's what I'm playing with right now.
here's 3 of them, the third being what eventually became the "Cyber" front end.
I thought it was cool too. I'm aiming for a look like the one on the top.
I was originally gonna make one like this:
Unfortunately I'm still a noob with fiberglass at the shop, and it would take way too much bondo to form a front end like this. If I can finally figure out the laying of fiber glass I'll do the bondo thing, make a mold and let you guys know.
