+35 works perfectly w/ my 18x8 225/40/18's on my gen3, although the rears definitely need rolling (I used a deadbolt hammer instead... was desperate and in a hurry and now I have some rust issues with the cracked paint).

When compared to the stock 195/70/14 on the I4's, a size of 245/40/18 would be 3.78% larger, and 245/45/18 would be 7.28% larger, whereas 225/40/18 would only be 1.36% larger.

my 18x8 is +38 and i barely have any space with the rear strut. it is literally almost touching with no spacers. no problems in the front though. 225/40R18 for the rims as well for me. oh, and i'm dropped by about an inch and a half.
no rubbing issues, btw with that set-up.

I had rubbing issues in the rear with a 18x8 +37 on my Volk Racing GT-N's but I was dumped on Sprint Springs and KYB GR-2's.

im now playing the offset game with my new set of rims going
these will be my daily rims so i need them to be comfortable..
gen 4 camry
im really thinking it would be a 35+ 18x8 with a 225.40.18
minus rolling the rear fenders.. (actually cutting but yes u get the point)
what would be a perfect or just about perfect offset for the rear..
I would greatly appreciate to be informed of what offset/tires you chose, maybe by PM or by bumping this thread.

I think the solara and the gen 4 are about the same in this respect- Im about to go 18x8.5 40 offset and according to milt Im going to need a 5 mm spacer on the rear to clear my coilovers and some major fender rolling with 225/40/18 tires.
