The OEM bulbs in your cluster are not white, they have a yellow tinge. You really need to use LED's for it to look good. For youe needles, take them off and paint them red like I did. .

When you take the covers off, they actually have a yellow tinge to them. Best way to describe it is to look at your headlights. They are not white, they are yellowish.
The LED's made FOR cars, almost always have the resistor built right inot it, so it;s a plug it in and turn on, nothing more. the ONLY LED I have found that works on the Camry cluster is the 5 LED Wide Angle ones. It spreads the light the best, out of the 5 different ones I tried (and $50+ later )

Nice I really like the red. Quick question to you - my climate control lights above the deck went out a while ago. I use to be able to smack them really hard and they would come back on but not anymore. I want to change the bulb colors anyways. Do I just pull the trim off like I'm removing the dash? I'm sure I could figure it out if I pulled the trim off, I just hope it's as easy as I think it will be. Also, what size bulbs are they? I think blue would look good with my EL gauges and blue Alpine deck (and blue painted dash and car).
Here is a shot of my guages=
I Made them myself because I tried those reverse glow gauges and didn't like how every other car on the road has them, so I built these. Once I get my car back I'll take a night shot of them for you.
Personally I had no problem making my backlight LEDs work great, but the way to do it is to take the cluster apart a little and drill a few extra holes for more LEDs to fit into to make the light pattern even. At least thats how I did it.

ok nice so i dont have to hook up any kind of resistors...do u know where i can get the 5 LED Angle ones? and one more quick question...so that only way to get the needles to light up red is to paint them? any idea on what kind of paint to use or where i can get it? thanks!
