Window stuck down. tips, please

Help
I got the call ffrom the wife that the drivers window is stuck down on the 96 camry wagon. It is 9 degrees out and I have noticed times when it is sluggish when cold. Any trouble shooting tips are appreciated. Switch tests, fuse tests, motor tests, track tests, anything. I will need staying diagnosticly clear and calm working on it in the cold weather.
Thanks a million

Haha I have the same problem on my 94 camry, it will only go up for me just use pressure with your left thumb pulling back and also apply slight pressure with your right index finger. Should go up . seems to be the "sweet spot" for those tempramental window motors.

thats prolly gonna require door pannel removal, and either motor, or regulator replacement, but first check your switch contacts for debris.

I had this happen on my 92, it probably froze down, if you can see any part of the window, try pulling it up and wiggleing it as you press the button, if you cant see it, remove the door panel and then push up on it and wiggle it while pressin the up button for the drivers window
