3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
ok, currently i have a 1994 Toyota Camry XLE V6 (Stock) that i got from my Uncle who recently purchased a Infiniti QX(he gots kids so, Cam cant hold 6 people comfortably at once =\ ). I'm thinking about modding it out with some nice stuff. Im currently thinking about mostly exterior then moving interior. Heres a list of what im thinking about:
-Projector / Halo Eye Headlights (i want a black/grey housing for the headlights).
-Mesh Grille
-Clear Bumper Markers
-17's or 18's Wheels
-In-Dash Flip Out DVD Screen
-Possibly a Body Kit
-H.I.D Conversion Kit
I need help from you guys! What do you guys suggest? Does anyone know where i could get a projector/halo eye headlights with black/grey housing? and which is better- 17's or 18's Wheels? I would like to hear all your suggestions and ill post pics of my vehicle asap ( my car is currently at the shop since it needed a tune up, new cheap plastic door handle, and timing belt change).

okay this weekend im planing to clean my headlights and probably give them that "black housing" look and appeal. Does anyone know if 200 grit sand paper (wet sanding) and plastic polish work great? can i get these at like walmart? and what kind of paint do you guys reccomend for the housing of the headlight
first of all 200 grit would prolly be way to course, id do somthing more like 1000 or higher. second, are u trying to get the smoked headlight look or black housing look? there two different things. to smoke the headlights ud need a tinting paint but i hear that crap fades after a while. if ur trying to get black housings u could paint em, but ud have to remove the lense and then use HIGH gloss paint to paint the housing.
this link should help http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t157459.html
not trying to be a dick but i did a search to find most of this stuff and if i can find it so can u.
here, its on a audi but the concept is the same. u may want to get different paint though, that shit is made for plastic models and not intended to be exposed to the elemants. auto parts stores will have the same kinda thing for auto use. http://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/820106.phtml
you really need to search, EVERYTHING youre asking has been beat into the ground. Read the camry faq under the general section as well as searching. Most people arent lucky enough to be spoon fed as much as you have, Im surprised
i can only assume u mean me. i cant help it, its like the sad puppy who keeps whining for some ice cream. but yes, as i said b4, if i can find this stuff so can YOU.
big bird i got a q- on your cam do you got projectors or just stock OEM headlights just cleared up and stuff? and nvm i dont need smoking i actually want to open up the headlight and black the housing i found a dyi for that - half my projector done
nope, there just clean, im not a huge fan of the way the gen3 looks with projector headlights. but good luck if u try it, it looks cool and very origional. im about to put on depo clear headlights soon and thats as far as im gonna go on that. i recomend that if ur gonna take the time to black out the housing that u invest in the depo clears(there on sale now too), or clear ur existing leanses. otherwise they'll just look dark and u wont get the full effect. but thats my opinion.
do the right thing and hit the stickies in general, then search.
