would 18" Katana Concept 5's with 225/40/18 Falken Tires fit in teh gen 3? wat if i lowered with eibach? i'm not sure of the offset and stuff for the rims, but i know for sure that it fit on a gen 4 camry.
theres always ways of getting around this, i had to remove my wheel well plastic and roll my front fenders. i have 17s 225/45/17 tires with about a 4-4.5" drop in front. it used to scrape, now its fine.
wait...a 4 inch drop? that's sick...so with a 1.3 inch drop from eibach, by removing the wheel well plastic removed will solve everything? rolling fenders? wat's that? approximate cost? is it safe to remove the plastic?
im running 18s with 225.40.18s on my gen3 coupe, i have a 2''drop on the back and 1.75'' on the front. the offset on my 18s are same as stock so the tires get really close to the shocks but dont rub at all unless i make real hard turns but even then its barely. just check the offsets and if its the same or more you should be safe. heres some pictures of my car after i put on my new rims.
yea, we cut a dead coil off from the front springs cause when we first lowered it, the front was sitting a little higher than the back. It still fits fine in the boot if you cut the springs
I went to a shop to get my H&R's cut but they said it would rattle because they wouldn't sit properly. Do you have that problem or did you do something to secure it from rattling? Maybe I'll try another shop. I'm guessing you got that low in the back beause you have subs, right?
yea i got 1 12 in my trunk now i used to have bigger that weighed it down alot. the single 12 im running now doesnt drop the back too much anymore. i dont have any rattling noise but whenever i raise the car up i have to make sure the spring sits properly in the boot.. thats about it
