2000 Camry headlights

Hey people

I'm having trouble driving at night, I can hardly see anything in front of me. I was thinking of getting HID but its too expensive. Anyone know a cheap way to get that HID look?

Thx

First, are your lights adjusted correctly?

Cheap way to get HID look is buy tinted bulbs, but they are not very bright. DO NOT BUY THEM.

For about $30, you can get OSRAM Silverstars It will light up the road more. I will try these out next week.

For about $60, you can get Toshiba HIR bulbs I don't have any experience with them, but these might be what you're looking for.

Any suggestion on which ones to get?? I see alot of foglights saying "HID" but they turn out very crappy that when your driving... you wont even notice it.

im in the same boat as you
i cant see shit at night...
i used silverstars/HIRs before they dont help & my headlights are aimed properly
i recently bought a HID kit but i dont have the money/time to do retros but HIDs are worth it i wish i could have installed my HIDs
sometimes it hard to see where the lane markers on at night especially when it rains but i just try to pay more attention and keep focus more when driving at night

I did a headlight conversion to a 2000 so my lights having heavy duty wiring like this http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-23756.cfm
so if you do a harness upgrade it should improve your visibility

i'd save up for an HID kit; the "HID" looking bulbs dont last and u'll end up spendin the same.

How much better is it after the upgrade? Are we talking about drastic improvement or is it just a little bit better?
