3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I've been poking around since last night and it sounds like a pretty cool idea. Does anyone around here have any experience doing such a thing? I'd love to know what other upgrades you have, how many miles are on your engine, what nitrous system you have, and of course, how much it ended up costing you. Also, I'd like to know whether or not you had it professionally installed. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
There are a handful of v6 guys running nitrous on here, so Im sure one of them is bound to help you out. I would also try a search because I believe it has been discussed before. Just be sure that your engine is in good working order before you go too crazy.
yea, theres a massive multipage thread about ppl with nitrous in their camrys but most probably arent around anymore...but their results are still here.

Thanks for the searching tips, but I did all of that last night. I may be new to TN, but I'm not new to discussion boards. I just wanted to talk to some people that are running it right now, ask them a few questions, ect.
i personally wont touch the stuff but alot of people say the 1mz(94+) isnt as strong as the 3vz(92-93). you should pm toysrme, he did a fairly larger explanation of the good and bad of both engines in regards to nitrous if i remember correctly.

yea man.. the 1mz isnt that strong.. and if your engine has high mileage on it already.. you'll most likely kill your engine
You wont neccesarily blow your engine like everyone is saying. There are people on here with 200,000+ miles on their V6 and are running large shots of nitrous. It's all about how you take care of your engine and install the nitrous properly.
I'm still around running nitrous. My car is still up and running, so no complaints here. I actually just bought a 20lb bottle, so I'm ready for some summer fun. Hit me up with the questons if you need help
