Question on how accurate ebay auction is on 2.0 to 2.2

This ebay auction claims :

3SFE Late 2.0 JDM Replaces 5SFE 2.2. With No Power Loss.

How true is this....or is the claim pure bull shit?

That is one of the best laid out spec sheets I have seen on any engine in a very long time. Thanks for finding that.

If your looking at ebay auctions of the 3SFE vs. 5SFE JDM imports, be aware that many people online have stated that the 3SFE swap is not as easy as advertised. Last fall my son's '96 Camry bent a rod, and we replaced it with an Ebay 5SFE JDM engine (they are available, but ususaly cost more than the 3SFE, I think I paid around $1,000 with shipping from a seller in NJ). Even on the 5SFE JDM engine there were a number of items that had be swapped from the dead US 5SFE, Wiring Harness, Intake Manifold (no EGR on the JDM), Distributor and Oil pump (this may be due to the '96 model being unique with it being the only year with a distribuor AND a crank position sensor on the oil pump, the engine was sold as 92-96 JDM)

p.s. I think the 3SFE that makes about the same HP as the 5SFE operates at higher compresson and requires the use of premium fuel

Thank you for the followup advice. Makes me rethink what I was looking to do.
