3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
wth? look up k-sport coilovers and if you going to say "my car is a daily driver don't want it too stiff" then forget about getting coilovers but if you still want it then get 7kg front and 5kg rear spring rates and try to get the lightest wheels on the car as much possible to increase the ride quality as much as you can and also lighten the car as much as you can and stiffen the chassis like front strut bar and stuff. Also heard getting lighter (weight) custom springs will increase ride quality and performance at the same spring rate. Look up swiftusa springs for that. I know where to get the ksport coilovers for $800 new with custom spring rates. Just in case man these are full coilovers not the cheap coilover sleeves where you can use your shocks in the car already they don't make that for our cars and imo provide shitty ride quality and actually decrease performance at some point too!!!

and I've got the Hotbits, and some other folks here have the D2's as well, but those were limited production I think. I also think that some really crappy no name ones called G4 or something showed up on eBay a while back.

I've only experienced the Hotbits, so I couldn't tell you objectively.
The D2's are twin-tube design and had some noise issues that may or may not have been resolved by the manufacturers.
I'd stay away from the G4Tech's or whatever they're called.
Most people have KSport (also twin tube design), but that's because they're the most affordable (~$1000) and most easily available, not necessarily because they're the best (not trying to bash on you fine folks who have them).
I know the Hotbits (monotube design) have had quite a bit of R&D put into them with BLUEMEANIE's help, but they also cost a lot more ($2000+) and are harder to get ahold of. The same goes for the JIC's.

oh...I see... well in that case i'll go with pro... or affordable would be a great idea too... Hey, how's the ride on Hotbits?
